DESCRIPTION:Safe Passage\, DeKalb County's domestic violence and sexual assault crisis center\, will host their annual Valentine's Day themed fundraiser on February 17th\, 2023. This will be the first Love Over Violence Event (L.O.V.E.) since 2020.\n\n\n\nL.O.V.E. will be held at Blumen Gardens in Sycamore from 6:00pm to 9:30pm. The event will include an evening of decadent appetizers\, cocktails\, dancing\, and a raffle.\n\n\n\n"We want to celebrate Valentine's Day with our community\," says Safe Passage's Executive Director\, Mary Ellen Schaid. "Our agency values safe and healthy relationships and tries to help our clients attain this. Our Love Over Violence doesn't just celebrate love\, it celebrates survivors of both domestic and sexual violence who continue to love despite their experiences .Please join us at the 3rd annual L.O.V.E. Event!"\n\n\n\nTickets are $75 per person and include a signature drink. Tickets are available for purchase online at dekalbcountytickets.com\, by phone at 815.758.1225\, or at the Egyptian Theatre Box Office (135 N 2nd Street\, DeKalb). The box office is open Tuesday thru Thursday\, 3:00 6:00 PM.\n\n\n\nSafe Passage is DeKalb County's only domestic violence and rape crisis center. In addition to safe housing\, the organization offers crisis intervention and medical advocacy for victims\, counseling\, legal advocacy\, children's services\, prevention programming\, and a partner abuse intervention program. The organization serves men\, women\, and children of all ages.
